The grand halls of the Suryagarh palace echoed with the whispers of the past. The war had ended, but the scars it left behind were visible in the kingdom’s cracked walls, bruised economy, and, most of all, in the hearts of the royal family. Bhanumati, once a bright and spirited princess, now walked with a burden so heavy it seemed to drain the light from her eyes. Her love, the cause of so much destruction, still burned in her heart, but the cost had been unimaginable.
Her brother, the king, had barely spoken to her since the end of the war. Each glance from him carried a weight of betrayal, and yet, underneath it, there was something deeper—a struggle between love and hurt, forgiveness and pride. The kingdom was rebuilding, but the personal divide between them felt like a chasm.
